About this property
Quiet apartment overlooking the Bobertal Valley at the foot of the Giant Mountains
FLOWLAND Tarczyn Yellow Apartment – Peace and Quiet Above the Bober Valley in the Foothills of the Giant Mountains
Tarczyn, the smallest village in the Western Sudetes, lies at an elevation of 422 m on Tarczynka Hill and is an ideal place to get away from it all. From here, a sweeping view opens up of the Karkonosze Mountains with Sněžka, the Jizera Mountains, and the Bober-Katzbach Mountains. The location above the Bober Valley, the vastness of the landscape, and the ever-present silence define this place.
The Yellow Apartment is located on the upper floor of a small historic barn and is designed for two people. It is intended for guests who travel mindfully and seek tranquility—whether for extended stays, focused work, or a slow-paced retreat into nature. There is no through traffic, no tourist infrastructure, and no distractions.
The apartment is furnished in a simple yet cozy style, with plenty of light and a warm, understated color scheme. Contemporary art subtly complements the space and underscores the home’s unique character.
Amenities
two single beds that can be pushed together to form a double bed if needed
fully well-equipped kitchen
separate workspace with high-speed internet
private bathroom with shower, towels, a hair dryer, and vegan toiletries
The interiors are designed in a calm, English-inspired style and are intentionally minimalist. Only eco-friendly materials, paints, and plasters were used; no plastic elements were incorporated.
On the first floor of the small barn, guests also have access to a shared lounge with a library—a place for reading, writing, or enjoying quiet meals.
Garden & Terrace
The Yellow Apartment features a quiet terrace in the courtyard of the former farm. It is nestled between the three historic buildings of the farm complex and is framed by topiary plane trees as well as lush perennial and rose beds.
The terrace is intentionally sheltered and designed to be intimate. Gravel paths, paved areas, the historic fountain in the courtyard, and the surrounding buildings create a secluded, sheltered space that promotes tranquility and concentration. Here, there are no sweeping views, but rather a sense of arriving and lingering.
The terrace is equipped with seating and is particularly suitable for:
Breakfast outdoors
Quiet work sessions during a workation
Reading, writing, or reflection
relaxed evenings in the sheltered courtyard
The garden is designed to be natural and vibrant, without any formal rigidity. The interplay of architecture, plants, and light gives the courtyard a timeless, tranquil atmosphere that changes gently throughout the day.
The outdoor area is part of the overall concept of stillness, retreat, and mindful slowness. It is not intended for parties or loud activities, but rather as a quiet retreat surrounded by greenery.
Workation & Long-Term Stays
The Yellow Apartment is particularly well-suited for workations and longer stays. The combination of silence, reliable internet, a private workspace, and a fully equipped kitchen allows for focused work in a natural rhythm that balances work and relaxation.
Many guests come to Tarczyn for:
writingand creative projects
Working from home in a quiet setting

Longer stays are expressly welcome. We’re happy to provide customized terms upon request.
