The Dower House Hotel

"We booked the Dower House as it was an ideal location for trips around the area. Visits to Lincoln cathedral, beach at Sandilands and Sutton on Sea, some National Trust places etc. By accident, we found a lovely little cinema just a 3 minute walk away from Dower House called the "Kinema in the woods". Very quaint and cheaper than mainstream cinemas. We had a room in the Anex building next to the main house and it was very quiet and peaceful. It was very clean and comfortable. Car parking was ample and you could use the main one or the one for the Anex as the two buildings were only 50 meters apart. No EV charging points but i would not mark down just because of this. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and you could ask for specific things. The staff were very polite and helpful. Checkin and checkout was very easy. We really enjoyed our short stay here and would use this again if we were going to be in this area again."

"On the positive: The reception staff were very welcoming, friendly and efficient. Rooms were clean. Location was excellent. Negative: bedding could do with an upgrade; sheets were rough, pillows were lumpy, beds (2x singles) were hard. Duvet was old and stiff and too narrow for the bed. Rooms are small! TV is tiny! Breakfast was adequate."

"The caravan and hoilday park was brilliant staff also helpfull only thing I didn't like tbere was no heating in caravan to turn the radiators on as the boiler was broken told staff but they never came to sort it"
