Sophia keeps the place so neat and clean and always has snacks out for everyone to share in the dining area. Tea and coffee are also available 24/7 and the requisite hot water needed for these beverages was always plentiful and ready to pour. There's even a separate fridge for guests to store their food.
Any concerns from guests were always addressed right away.
Walking distance to everything downtown made everything easy.
She helped us (and others) book aurora hunting tours and provided lots of information about the neighbourhood (post office, Farmer's market, etc.).
We would have appreciated a mirror in our room and a sink that didn't splash out quite so much (motion sensored and powerful!).
Thank you for a lovely and memorable stay!

Clean room, amenities are excellent and the host, Sophia was very warm and helpful
Sophia is very pleasant and accommodating. The property was very clean. The tap in the washroom is a motion tap so hard to keep going. Also, no breakfast included but billed as a B&B. I do recommend this property for a stay in Yellowknife.
The owner(Sophia) is very hospitable and considerate. Let guests feel like in a nice family environment. We enjoyed very much for the stay. Definitely, recommend to stay in this place during your visit to Yellowknife.
You really do get what you pay for. The bed was comfortable, pillows were comfy. We didn't appreciate the host using speaker phone to use her cell phone early in the morning. There was also slamming of doors by another guest. The host indicated he drinks and stay there often. Both nights the host knocked on the door indicating that the fan was making a vibrating noise on the floor that she could hear in the basement. The 2nd night the towel that she gave us to place under the fan was already underneath the fan. The toilet seat was heated, and it is hot in July. The yard was full of weeds. I suggest paying the extra for a better experience.
Friendly greeting & welcoming.
Would like to see even a continental breakfast with your stay.

Disliked: Amenities
For such a low price, this B&B exceeded my expectations. Staff was very friendly, place is clean, coffee is excellent. Basement room is simple and windowless but a good place to sleep.
Sophia is so friendly and helpful, and she has thought of all the details. Her home is welcoming. I am coming back here.

Did not receive the room A2 as promised at time of booking. It was upstairs with nice wood floors and a window in the room. They changed our room to A6 downstairs, no window and no emergency exit in room, no air exchange, hot and stuffy and very uncomfortable. Beds were okay, same as upstairs. Carpeted basement was old and stained, no secondary exit for emergency in the basement.
Good value in a good location in Yellowknife. Good cleanliness. Comfortable bed. Friendly, helpful host on-site. It was clear up front that there would be shared bathrooms and no breakfast.
Sophia was excellent. Friendly and extremely helpful. The location was good, walking distance to pretty much everywhere. The coffee was good and the biscuits were a nice treat. We already told her we will stay here again next year:) Thank you Sophia!
