Nice overnight stay in a traditional old ryokan. Last-minute booking ended us up in an awkwardly tiny room but the Onsen was lovely and good breakfast. Hostess was very helpful finding us a dinner spot. Handy location near the beach.
The spacious grounds are used lavishly. The fixtures are not showy, but rather compact and elegant, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The guest rooms, lobby and reception rooms are designed to make visitors feel at ease, and you can relax and enjoy your stay. Of course, the hot springs are warm and comfortable until late at night.
We had to book a room at short notice because our travel plans changed, so we spent one night here in August 2023. It was very good. The staff were so welcoming, we really felt at home. The hotel is a stone’s throw away from the ocean and parts of it are lit up at night, which was an amazing sight to see, on the stormy night we were there. The bathhouse is also fantastic. There is an outdoor bath as well, which was great to visit at night. The room was comfortable and spacious with a clean and well-equipped bathroom. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
The place had a lovely traditional atmosphere with generally good quality kaiseki dinner. All drinks included was also a good point. Nice garden with one welcoming drink and snacks and drinks offered until 10:00pm.
The minus was the status of cleaning. The outdoor onsen smelled funny like the water wasn’t cleaned properly. We had our own onsen bath at our room and the quality of sea water onsen was excellent there so we didn’t mind much. But it’s a shame considering the price I had to pay. Also, no carrying of luggage service to the room. So over all, minus on service and cleaning but the rest was satisfying.
The staff was fantastic, the facility is well located in the city, surrounded by fun Izakaya, and close to the public beach. I was surprised by the free drink after check-in, as well as the delicious bento breakfast in the morning. The onsen consistent up to Natural mineral baths, in a nice indoor and outdoor setting. I do wish it had a cold water bath, as well. The onsen was quite a long walk from the room, bur manageable. The staff spoke some simple english, but we're very helpful in Japanese with great locations to eat and do around the hotel. Check in was fairly simple, using their online app. Japanese room was beautiful and clean. It had a great view to Daisen. Overall, a really good recommendation to this hotel! Well deserved!
