    Peg's Cottage, a delightful, detached, stone cottage, is set solely over the ground floor in a little hamlet just two miles from the market town of Helmsley in North Yorkshire. Perfect for a romantic break away, the cottage can sleep two people in one double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. There is a kitchen and a sitting room with a cosy gas fire and a dining area where you can enjoy romantic, candlelit meals. Outside, a garden and patio with furniture are perfect for enjoying the summer sun, and there is off road parking for two cars. Peg's Cottage is a wonderful base a couples getaway exploring North Yorkshire, all year round! Please note: property cannot accept infants due to lack of space



    The Neighborhood:

    On the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park is the prestigious market town of Helmsley. Lying in a sheltered corner of Upper Ryedale, this lovely settlement boasts a spacious market square surrounded by houses, hotels and shops as well as a 12th Century castle. English Heritage's Rievaulx Abbey is close by too and there is a multitude of excellent walks in the near vicinity, the most well known of these - the Cleveland Way, starting in the village itself. The region's capital of York is less than an hour's drive to the south, whilst Scarborough and the east coast just over an hour. The famous steam railway line at Pickering is just a thirty minute drive away.
