AVA Resort Cancun - All Inclusive

"It was okay, food is good , the place is clean. Staff were great and accommodating. IRD or in room dining is slow. AVA is huge, long and depending on where your room is, you might have to walk a lot to get to your favorite restaurant. The Food District is at the end of the South side. It seems like they’re almost done building another Food District on the North side. Everything is indoors (feels like a mall) with the exception of few food pods outside till 5:00pm. After dark there is nothing happening outdoors. Activities and shows don’t match the resort capacity. Reservations are required for most activities and kids area along with popular restaurants (Livo, BlackIron, Kita & Veranda) Beach is private but like most beaches full of sargassum and not suitable for swimming. Over all was good and might get better in a year or two once they address few issues and finish building other areas. Lastly, their Legendary vacation club make non-members feel uncomfortable and less valued."

"Our stay at Excellence Riviera Cancún was incredible from start to finish. Every staff member we met was warm, welcoming, and genuinely focused on making our trip unforgettable. We quickly found our favorite servers, and Marino and Miguel stood out as exceptional. They remembered our drinks, anticipated our needs, and gave great recommendations every day. They truly made us feel like family. The resort is stunning—immaculate grounds, beautiful pools, and plenty of quiet spaces to relax. The pool was never crowded, so it was always easy to find a chair and unwind. The beach is beautiful as well, though conditions can vary with seaweed, which is typical for the area. The location is more secluded, which makes it perfect for a peaceful, stay-on-property vacation. The spa was a highlight. We enjoyed a couples massage, then used the sauna, steam room, and hydrotherapy circuit. The hydrotherapy alone was almost as good as the massage. We stayed in an Excellence Club room, and the dining alone made it worth it. The tomahawk steak and fresh lobster were outstanding. Breakfast offered great variety and mimosas, but the steak and eggs in the Excellence Club were our favorite. We stayed six nights and wouldn’t change a thing. Between the beautiful resort, excellent food, luxurious rooms, and truly outstanding staff, this was one of our best vacations ever."
