The Space:

West & Wild has a personality all its own. High ceilings and generous windows bring desert light into rooms layered with terracotta, rich greens, natural wood and warm textiles. The design feels collected and expressive, yet comfortable enough to settle into immediately. There are inviting places to gather, quiet corners to claim for yourself and thoughtful details that make a full house feel relaxed rather than crowded.

-Outdoor Amenities-

The backyard is where West & Wild really comes into its own. Its artist-designed swimming pool is unlike any ordinary backyard pool, with swirling blue artwork beneath the water and a rock waterfall at the edge. Loungers line the pool deck, inviting afternoons spent swimming, reading and catching up in the sun. The freestanding casita sits nearby, keeping the outdoor spaces connected while giving its occupants a retreat of their own.



When temperatures cool, the outdoor hot tub offers another way to unwind. The pool itself is not heated, but the hot tub is available year-round.



Beyond the water, the grounds have the character of a desert garden, with native-inspired landscaping, a beautiful Joshua tree and views of the surrounding landscape. Fire up the propane grill for dinner outside, then gather around the fire pit's campfire-style seating. It's an inviting setting for a long conversation as daylight fades over Yucca Valley.



-Living Area-

The main living room is spacious without feeling formal. High ceilings and large windows give it an open, airy quality, while a generous sectional, fireplace and thoughtfully chosen furnishings create an inviting place to spend time together.



After exploring the desert, settle into the sofa with a drink, catch up around the fireplace or find a comfortable spot to read. The home's playful use of color, natural materials and distinctive furnishings gives the room warmth and character without sacrificing comfort.



-Kitchen and Dining-

At West & Wild, the kitchen is as much a gathering place as it is somewhere to cook. Deep green cabinetry, dramatic dark stone, open shelving and a substantial wood island give the room its striking look, while ten bar stools make it easy for everyone to join the conversation.



Prepare a leisurely breakfast before heading out or bring the group together to cook dinner after a day by the pool. Café appliances, Global knives, Libbey dinnerware and glassware provide the essentials for preparing and serving meals, whether you're cooking for two or feeding the whole house.



Canyon coffee is provided for mornings that deserve a slower start, with the patio offering an inviting place to enjoy that first cup.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

West & Wild accommodates up to 12 guests across four bedrooms and a separate sleeping loft, with eight beds in total. The layout works especially well for families and groups of friends, offering comfortable accommodations alongside a little independence.



Three bedrooms are located in the main house: two with queen beds and one with a king. The fourth bedroom is in the freestanding pool casita, which has its own king bed and bathroom. This separate space is especially appealing for a couple or guests who appreciate a quieter morning routine.



Each bedroom has its own design identity. Rich rust-colored bedding and a sculptural triangular headboard create warmth in one room, while terracotta walls, natural wood, soft green linens and distinctive architectural details bring personality to the others. An arched accent wall and a pink-and-mustard sitting area add another playful touch.



Every bed features a Leesa mattress with InBed and Coyuchi linens, bringing consistent comfort to each sleeping space.



The home has four bathrooms. Two are ensuite to bedrooms in the main house, one is located in the pool casita, and the fourth is a shared bathroom off the living room. Each features a distinctive tiled shower with a rainfall showerhead. Coyuchi towels and robes complete the experience, especially welcome after an evening in the hot tub.



-Moroccan-Style Loft-

One of the home's most memorable spaces is its Moroccan-inspired loft, a warm, wood-paneled retreat that feels entirely different from the rooms below.



A sloping timber ceiling, oversized floor cushions, layered rugs and cushioned window seats create an inviting place to curl up with a book, talk with friends or simply enjoy the desert views. It's a wonderful second hangout when part of the group wants a little time away from the main living areas.



At night, four twin XL beds turn the loft into a comfortable additional sleeping space. The arrangement works particularly well for a group of children enjoying a sleepover together, but the longer twin mattresses also make it suitable for adults.

West & Wild is in the heart of Flamingo Heights, close to La Copine, Moon Wind Trading Co and Giant Rock Meeting Room & Coffee House. Old Town Yucca Valley, Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown and Joshua Tree National Park's West Entrance are all within reach. Pappy & Harriet's has no cell service, so plan your ride home before a night out.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.
