"The apartment itself had nice updated decor, a clean, efficient & spacious kitchen, nice bathroom and plenty of natural light w/ small outdoor private patio. Best part though was the location. Upper West Side and 1/2 block from Central Park, quiet treelined street, lowrise townhouses, and 1 block from subway. Check-in very easy. Owner/host communicates best using WhatsApp rather than VRBO messaging."

"This was an unregistered listing in violation of New York Law. Both the property management team and VRBO are violating the law. Neighbors informed us they would be calling the police. In addition the apartment door was plastered with violation notices. The external door key also was not functioning. I have asked for a refund. Terrible experience."

"Check in was easy. The host had someone waiting to carry my bag upstairs - it's a 5th floor walkup. That wasn't a problem for me, but it should be said. The metro is within a block, and the area has conveniences all along both 2nd and 3rd Ave. The building felt safe, there was natural light, and a fully funcitional kitchen with all the amenities you need. The bed was very, very comfortable, and I appreciate the quality TP. ;) "

"The apartment gets a 2 because it was clean and well renovated. But it had lots of problems. The location was 109 bet Bway and Amsterdam, not 107 near Riverside as shown on the map. Living space is one sofa in a kitchen. TV behind the sofa. Dishwasher didn’t work. Two bedrooms like closets, could not have a family in the apartment. A/c in only one bedroom. Window blinds a foot too short to cover windows, and one was down. Crazy neighbor who screams and plays absurdly loud music. Apt ok...

"The HOST wouldn't give the location until 2 hrs before check in & refused cancel as actual location unknown until arrival. Bad or late communication via app. Apartment wasn’t the 1 shown in listing. Location was 1/2 mile plus from listing map or listed address. Key was in lockbox around corner attached to NYC parking sign. 2nd story walkup over restaurants. Bathroom is old,w/ heavily mildewed shower,cracked tiles, chipped peeling paint & brown hole above tub. Disgusting soap dispenser.2 pipes in...
