Learn more about Angel Island

Explore the metropolitan area of Angel Island—museums, shopping, and popular sights like San Francisco Bay.

Angel Island, just a short ferry ride away from San Francisco, makes for some fantastic hiking. You get some great views of the bay, the city, and that beloved bridge. I'd recommend taking one of the morning ferries over to have plenty of time to explore. Take note of the ferry return times, so you can plan out when to head back. If you end up having to wait a bit for the return ferry, it's no problem! There's a cafe by the dock where you can grab a coffee or a snack while you wait. #TakeAHike
