"Good location, walking distance to the town centre & train station.
We were in room 5 which, if you can I would avoid, because it is located next to the office & every time they came out of the office our door rattled. Which over time is annoying.
It is located next to the train line which run all night, however the door rattling was more noticeable.

"Hotel is in a good location, close to the main train station and river.
However shops under hotel are noisy and often play loud music until the early hours."
"Hotel was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was excellent with many choices; dinner was also delicious. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to my extra requests. "

"A well located comfortable hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Room well appointed with a partial view of the cathedral. Loved my 3 night stay. Would definitely return to Cologne and this hotel."
"This is a really nice hotel, in a building that is 100 years old this year. The beds are very comfortable, bathroom facilities are good, with a decent shaving mirror. The breakfast was good and was sufficient for me requiring a vegan menu, although would have liked vegan sausages, but the ham and salami substitutes made up for that.
Sadly the area around the hotel has seen better times. The U-bahn station is opposite the hotel’s main entrance and the staircases and elevators stink of urine, and could do with a visit from the Cologne City Cleansing Department.
It is also right next to Hansaring S-bahn Station which has connections to Cologne Hauptbahnhof, and other regional stations in the North Rhine-Westphalia region such as Dusseldorf, Aachen, and Koblenz which we visited using the hotel as a base to sleep and have breakfast.
It is also less than 1 mile away from the Cologne Cathedral, which is a nice walk down quiet back streets."
