"Hotel Trajan is located on the West side of the bridge while the check-in desk, dining room and parking are located on the East of the bridge. It's a ten minute walk between the two. Trajan is dated but it's clean and located in the middle of Centrum; so it's really convenient. I'd have to say the building is quaint. The castle stands on a hill on the left bank of the Vag river in the village of Betzkov
The castle was first mentioned in the chronicle of the XII century. In the 13th century, a stone castle was built on the site of the original wooden castle. In the XIV-XV centuries, the castle was rebuilt by the owners, the Stibor family, one of the most influential families of Hungary. In the XVI century, due to the constant danger of Turkish raids, the fortifications of the castle were strengthened. In the XVII century, the castle lost its significance. In 1727, a fire broke out and the castle was abandoned by the owners.
