The staff gets a low grade because there's NO staff present. As a customer, you are SCREWED if you happen to leave behind in your room, that flimsy piece of paper that has your key code, I would choose a hotel that at least has someone present .

An older property recently renovated with great taste. The staff was just wonderful. very personal. Greek/Italian restaurant downstairs was a welcome stop at the end of the day.

The couple owners were friendly, and helpful. The room was comfortable, and clean. Because I got a heat wave, I miss a fan (I don't like air conditioner). I appreciate my stay there.

The family room is really simple, 3 stars max (probably 2 is more accurate), but clean, no issues. You will hear water running if you open the windows (It's located creekside). But the owner is fun and welcoming, it's quiet, despite being close to railroad (German trains are really quiet, and there are very few of them). The location is nice and rustuc, albeit 40 min from Koln, close to a lake. Very few cars, quiet. Good breakfast. Try to get to it before dark, as Google sends you down a...
