"We stayed for one night at this hotel - it was fantastic. One of the best features is that it is up in the hills close to the chairlift site up to the volcanic cone. It is also far away from the very touristy coastal region and nestling in some very expensive privately owned homes, which were very pleasant to drive around. There is nobody staffing the hotel but checking in was a breeze as they communicated very clearly with us by messaging. We turned up and our room was open with the key inside....
"A vibe of a hotel that once was great and is falling into disrepair. Before booking I was debating between this and another hotel which was a few thousand yen more expensive. I rather wish I had booked the other one. It’s not that this place is bad….but it’s not really worth the price either.
To start with, we booked a non smoking room. But when I checked the property details on this website, it said I booked a smoking room. The staff assured me they would change it when I called them.
