Great views of the Catskills from the small hill where there’s a fire pit and Adirondack chairs for relaxation and lounging. Re-read Rip Van Winkle after a fantastic dinner at Deer Mountain Inn as it got dark looking upon the mountains where the story took place. Picturesque and perfect! "As a little motel close to a festival venue, the Black Bear Lodge was just what I was looking for. I was prepared for it to be small and basic and for the decor to be somewhat dated. What I found was a motel that was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The innkeeper was delightful. I would stay there again. "

The place is comfortable with unique touches such as the sauna and the beautiful artwork throughout the house. The backyard was fully fenced, so my dog had a blast running around outside. Danielle was very easy to reach and promptly responded to my question about the sauna. I highly recommend as a place to unwind while having access to the restaurants and towns nearby. "
