"I loved the historical nature of this hotel. It was formerly an orphanage and it has been restored to reflect that. The rooms are small, basically the width of a king size bed, (which was gorgeously comfortable), though there was a shower and sink in the room as well. The toilets are down the hall. "Poor facilities. Room on 4th floor and lift was unservicable meaning a very long climb with 3 peoples baggage. Room very small for 3 people, smell of drains. Aircon not working meaning poor ventilation. Allevated by having window open but as hotel backed onto railway line meant either no sleep from constant noise or suffocation from lack of ventilation. "We stayed here for 3 weeks after flying in from the US to visit family in the nearby area. We didn't want to be in a hotel for 3 weeks as we would find that claustrophobic. This was the ideal solution. The park staff were excellent and could communicate easily in English and German if needed.
