"Nice area, few minute walk to the train station which was great as I was alone and felt safe walking back at night. Room was very basic but clean and had everything I needed for the night. Came for a concert in Cardiff which was perfect with the easy access via train and miles cheaper than Cardiff...

"There's no doubt that The Boat Inn is a lovely, traditional pub in a super location, right on the banks of the Wye with good views of the river from the bedrooms above the pub. The surroundings are wooded and distinctly bosky, which is nice. There is a small village (Redbrook) with a village shop a few hundred metres away across an old railway bridge. The Boat serves excellent food, but only on certain days - Thursday to Sunday, from memory. BUT beware of the journey there, from the main roads:...

"We were in the area visiting relatives and needed somewhere to stay the night which was reasonably priced, although it wasn't particularly cheap, it was convenient and clean, and the chap in reception was very friendly and went out of his way to make us feel at home, all in all, it worked out well, we would stay again if the occasion arose."
