"The "hotel" in some respects was reasonable (vehicle parking, visual appearance, and the room itself), but did not justify the name of hotel.
The property offered no facilities for an evening meal (and even the nearest dining facilities {more than half a mile away} was closing down at the end of the day we were there and only offered a limited menu on that day). When asking what time breakfast was served there was some doubt whether it was served at all. They then stated that breakfast would be...
"A cheap and cheerful night on the outskirts of Derby. The hotel is rather hidden away and not well signposted.
I checked in, room was clean with tea/coffee available.
The rooms are single storey, bungalow style
There is parking right outside of the rooms"
"When I viewed this hotel online I thought it looked like a beautiful traditional hotel and certainly wasn't expecting what I pulled into off a busy road.
The stained carpet is unrecognisable and is overlapping and my daughter tripped over it. I found an old pair of black shorts/clots at the bottom of the wardrobe with white stains (I handed it into Recep). The dimmed lit bedroom furniture was cheap, the carpet appalling and the double /Queen bed mattress lent to one side when I lay on it. My...
"The staff were amazing . Hostel was clean and tidy , right in town . Was able to leave suitcase in room b4 check in . Bathroom clean . Good atmosphere and interaction with others staying there , very friendly"
"Great place to stay, the room is exactly as advertised. 20 minute walk downtown and well connected to East Midlands. The studio with the small kitchenette and the private bathroom was definitely worth it. The gym is great for a little workout "
"Although the hotel overall is in need of a lot of renovation, (new carpets, decorating, updating the bathroom etc), the bedsheets etc were clean as was the sink, toilet and shower. Unfortunately the television only received a handful of Freeview channels and on the 2nd morning the electric shower stopped working. This is a very tired property and needs quite a bit of money spending on it to bring it up to date. Having said that, it's in a prime location and the staff were very helpful and...
"This was a scam. No email was ever received from the property with check-in instructions and they never responded to messages or calls.
We ended up having to book different hotels and am trying to get a refund from hotels.com"
"The Croft Hotel is in a very quiet location but a short bus journey or drive from the city centre and ideally located for the De Montfort Hall. Our room was spacious, with good natural light by day and electric lighting by night. It was a large room which was very clean and comfortable with ample storage for belongings and plenty of power sockets and windows that you can open! Our bed was extremely clean and comfortable and the shower was easy to regulate. The hotel has a bar and a TV room. The...
"Although we almost turned around upon walking down the block towards the guest house, I am glad we stayed there. Paul, the custodian, was charming and helpful, the facilities were adequate, and access to food make a simple breakfast was nice, but every room should have a fan. We appreciated the price, but will not stay there again."
