Small room, no front desk, clean and good for one night

The welcoming staff was very, very helpful and assisted us in parking our bikes downstairs. The view of the river was incredible!

This is an excellent choice for seeing Saumur. It is in an old building with a lot of character. My room was large, with wooden beamed ceiling, tall windows that opened, and a limestone fireplace I wish I had in my home. Ensuite had shower and had plenty of space. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and quite helpful. The hotel is part of a very large restaurant with good food and good service. Delightful hotel with wonderful breakfast. Beautiful period decorations combined with modern, spacious bathroom. Friendly, helpful and communicative host. Great location.

We had a delightful time staying here. Personally, I like staying near the historic city center in a historic building. There was no air conditioning, but with windows open we were fine despite a heat wave while we were there. Staff was very kind, helping us plan our activities while in Angers. I hope to have the opportunity to stay there again.

The hotel looks plain enough from the outside and, indeed, the bar section of the hotel is rather unprepossessing. The restaurant attatched to the hotel and hiding in a series of side rooms was excellent. Staff at the hotel and restaurant were excellent. Secure bicycle storage was provided. The hotel was a few kilometers out of Saumur. Nice rooms, lovely food. Worth considering.

Was the first hotel in the 3 wks that had sink in the room with bed not in bathroom, but was clean and nice same price as Paris room which was larger bath with no sink in room

Well kept older property, new design bathrooms and excellent breakfast. Very good value for the money.

Our hosts were fantastic. Very informative of the area. They helped us with finding great restaurants. Would highly recommend this hotel and the location is perfect in Angers!!!
