"A pleasantly surprising stay in the Saumur/ Doué-la-Fontaine area of the Loire. This property while modern is a gem, we benefited from a comfortable clean and pleasant family room, with a window opening up onto their rear garden area. Woke up to birdsong and quiet , and a great breakfast in their large conservatory. Service excellent and helpful. Jean-Phillipe had some local wines available to sample and also has a BBQ that can be used and a games room. The swimming pool was very clean and everything very well maintained. It’s a short drive to Saumur where there are shops and restaurants and activities such as bike hire. Would recommend."

"Visiting Sarah-Jane and Gerald at Beaumont estate was the highlight of our drive through the Loire valey. We thouroghly enjoyed Gerald's wine tour and tasting, and especially his wilingness to share his thougts and opinions as well as experience and knowledge regarding the making of wine. sampling the various expressions gave us a much better understanding of how the process and choises of the winemaker affects the final product. In addition, the wines were truly great, so thank you both for...

The Originals Boutique, Hôtel Le Londres, Saumur

10/10 Excellent

"Breakfast was good, but not as great as at some other places we stayed in France. Parking was easy but required advance reservation. Easy walking to everywhere from the hotel. We had a large suite on the top floor, which did require one final set of stairs after the elevator. Very comfortable bed, and quiet enough at night. Would stay here again. Saumur itself was also wonderful."

Quality Aparthotel Saumur

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent location in the heart of the city. Close to main shops bars and restaurants. Castle just 10min walk away. Didn’t tell you these apartments are in an OLD FOLKS HOME! Just a surprise!😂 Apartment spacious clean quiet well equipped. Central air con. Excellent secure plentiful underground car parking for €10 a night"

Best Western Adagio

8/10 Good

"Good location (very close to the train station and downtown) and relatively quiet for being located on a major road at a major intersection. The building is nice, solidly constructed with spacious rooms and high ceilings. The room needs some updating in terms of decor and there are little touches that show a lack of very careful attention to maintenance (curtains that aren’t attached completely at the top of the window, dead mosquitoes on the sheer curtains). A little more careful attention to these details would go a long way to improving the first impression. That said, the room was spacious (a corner room -05) and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and pleasant. All in all, I recommend this hotel and would stay again on another visit to the Saumur area."
