"The hotel has beautiful views, wonderful staff (Tom and Marvin), and great food. It would be nice if hot water was available for showering. All of the water was salty as well. They didn’t have any blowdryers. Understood it is a hostel but for the higher cost of a private room, they should carry a few cheap ones at the front desk to borrow for guests of private rooms in case they need. A nice hostel I stayed at in at Lake Atitlan did this. The rooms on the rooftop get noisy if it’s windy. Minimal...

"The staff was super helpful. There is a lot of value for your money with space for 4 to sleep and a fridge. It has air conditioning and hot water. When the power went out they were quick to show us the switch for the generator. It's close to the beach, restaurants and stores."

"I checked in & it looks like the hostel dormitory was being repainted so I got upgraded into room 56 at no charge! So I have a private room with a king size bed, a private bathroom & a tv that I plugged an HDMI cord into & streamed from my laptop on. Great setup, right on the beach, nice pool, water seemed clean, lots of places to sit & lounge around. "We enjoyed our stay at the El Mirador. The staff is nice and helpful. They go out of there way to help and provide assistance. The owner is kind, friendly and works hard. Breakfast is good, coffee is hot and fresh. We stayed in one night and had a nice dinner on site at the pool side, lots of dinner choices. The views are spectacular and the grounds are kept clean and well maintained. Lot's to see in and around Ometepe. We would go back anytime! "
