"I tried to check in on the day at Ayowa Grand Hotel and the Hotel management refuse to let us check in saying they did not received money I paid on line! "My wife and I decided to stay here after our flight arrived late at night. The address on google is totally different than the actual address. There were some miscommunications and after hours of search for the place (no signs) we ended up finding another dodgy hotel at 2:30am. "Started and of course ended my trip in Sri Lanka here. The only bad thing was that my expectations for the other hotels/hostels/home stays got to high. My best nights were at this hotel. Breakfast is the best, the owner is originally from the UK. Free water, good prices in the restaurant and great food and assortment. Since a traveled by myself I got great help planning the start of my trip in Sri Lanka as well."
