"The Algar is central to all the local bars, shops and restaurants. The apartments are basic and would benefit from updating but clean and provide a good base. We always chose a balcony view which allows us to eat and drink as we like if we don’t want to eat out, and certainly makes up for any basic amenities. Staff are always friendly and have been there many years . "

"Many good things. It was more than a room - a whole T1 apartment! this was the first nice surprise. Very clean and well equipped, good heating/cooling system, plenty of hot water. But the best thing of all was the quality of the staff. So helpful and friendly,especially Marcus and Lineu at reception."
