"Very central location for Stone Town. Easy to walk to local attractions. Less easy to get back to but that is due to the many narrow streets rather and geography of the area and nothing to do with the hotel! The hotel is known by everyone so if you get lost someone will help you get back. It is noisy with building work going on nearby, calls to prayer, and the church bells ringing but we expected that to be the case and soon got used to it. The air conditioning, fan and turn down service...

"Looks nothing like the photos. Pool was dirty and the girl "running" the reception was so uninterested in anything and barely smiled once. Was empty most of my stay and not comfortable for a single female traveller. Breakfast was not good, was just fruit and an egg. I wasn't able to fully open the door of my room because there was an extra bed in there that was supposed to be removed, but was not. Ashtrays around the pool looked like they had not been emptied for a month."

My room, spacious with a huge bathroom, overlooked the garden and the ocean. The sun sets in front of the room and the pool, which is remarkable. The common areas are large and spacious, so you can enjoy the place without disturbing each other. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
