"This was different for me. Eight small rooms along a hallway above a bar. Room had a sink, but toilet and shower were shared. But it had a fair degree of charm, perhaps because of its unusual elements."

"It's an old, family-ran motel. Pretty dated but it was great for an overnight stay. Bed was comfy, unit is clean, water pressure is good. My room had a kitchenette with basic amenities but we didn't really use it. The staff are nice and friendly and the views are beautiful! It was a relaxing stay. "

Flotel Valleyfield is a 6 room hotel made out of shipping containers on 3 barges floating in the harbour. Each room has a small sitting area, a "wet" room toilet/shower area, and a sleeping nook. The interior is finished all in plywood. Amenities include TV, a small cube fridge, and Nespresso coffee maker. On the water...
