"Nice hotel, basic, but more than adequate for an overnight stay before or after flying. The restaurant in the hotel looked great, and a fab atmosphere, but sadly we didn't have time to sample it. We found the public transport to and from the airport a nightmare to understand, so ended up getting a taxi both ways. It wasn't overly expensive but we'd have preferred to use the bus. Unfortunately the reception staff weren't very helpful (admittedly my Spanish is rubbish)"

"Because of language, took time before I entered, the room was excellent for the price and was right in town. There was no kettle, I missed that. It was February and in the 20s degrees. Breakfast was in a cafe 5 minutes away 3.5€. 8 minutes walking from the train station. 4.80€ to Alicante by train. Nice place to stop, very Spanish. "

"I had very little time in this hotel as it was just a bed for the night before an early flight from nearby ALC. It served the purpose well. There is a small front desk at the entry that isn't staffed after 10pm. Fortunately the hotel staff contacted my the day before. "It was a basic studio and was clean. Air con was good. Pool closes for 3 hours 2-5pm. Food in restaurant is very good and reasonable priced but for all the staff they have (5) service is terrible. I had to go bar and order in end as got sick of waiting even though it wasn’t busy. When we received meal i had to get up and ask for cutlery. No entertainment on night we stayed"

" This has been our 3rd stay at the hotel Lido. Personally my partner and myself Love it there for its convenience to the beach, restaurants and shops ect.. However it should be stressed to new visitors that the Lido like most hotels in the area is a 2 star hotel so don't expect 4 star decor also people new to the area should appreciate this is a working coastal town so don't expect the canary island experience. "The cabin itself was nice, spacious and clean and for the most part well equipped. Didn’t see the restaurant or shop open at any point. Reception not manned and always had to phone if needed assistance. Limited welcome/explanation of site or how things work on arrival. "Great little family run hotel. Basic, but exceptionally clean. Helpful staff who booked us an early morning taxi to the airport. Air conditioning in the room was a bonus we weren't expecting. There was a small restaurant area in reception, but we didn't use it as not there at the time it was open. We walked to the beach, which was a good half an hour's walk away, but worth the effort. In the evening we wandered around the town and found a nice bar for tapas and wine. (Quite a few places to choose from)."
