"This was a guesthouse where we were greeted by the owner as we drove up. She showed us our room, which was clean and comfortable. She also made wonderful pancakes for breakfast for everyone, it felt like a family meal. I would recommend to anyone wanting something other than the sterile hotel room experience. "

"Our stay at the Hellisholar Cottages was short but wonderful. The area around the cottages was so peaceful and a wonderful way to start our Icelanic adventure. The cottages were located a short distance to the famous Seljalandafoss and Skogafoss, which made for the perfect late night adventure to see the waterfalls during the midnight sun when there was hardly anyone there. And just down from Seljalandafoss was the waterfall Nauthusagil, and fun adventurous hike through a narrow canyon that leads to a large open top cave with the waterfall. Check in/out process was smooth with great communication from the property. Great place to get awy from the crowds and enjoy some peace and quite."
