Nice simple place clean. Room 203 is more spacious. Another guest said their room was a bit tight.
We enjoyed the place, breakfast and close to our ring road adventures!
Set in a gorgeous location, hotel Lambafell feels like a wooden ski lodge! The rooms were very clean and it had really good amenities. An excellent breakfast was included too. Thank you for the stay!
This place had so many bad reviews that I was terrified before staying here but it was totally fine! Exactly as described.
You can’t check in late and you get a code via email. I imagine some people run into trouble with that but we had no issues. It was very easy.
The rooms were clean and nice. The area is scenic and the hot tub is relaxing.
Worst room I’ve ever had! The roof sloped down and a big beam cut off half the room at 4 ft high, so in order to get around the bed you had to stoop. The bathroom shower was a drop in that hadn’t been secured to any of the wall so it wobbled when you stepped in. There was a motion activated light sensor, but it was behind the door and it cut off every 30 seconds! Then when you stepped in the shower the water alternated between very hot and very cold about every 90 seconds….. so you are in the shower, cursing the temperature while the light goes on off! We managed to use my tweezers to set the light sensor to 30 minutes rather than 30 seconds but the temperature fluctuations made the shower unusable. On the plus side the hot tub was terrific and had an incredible view. We asked for a different room but were told they were fully booked.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
The hotel has a lot of character. Magnificent front foor. Beautiful, picturesque location. Serves delicious hot breakfast. The rooms were clean and warm with comfy beds. We didn't receive the email with check in instructions, but luckily there was a member of staff present, who helped us out.
Property was Very clean and rooms were cosy and comfortable
Check-in was not ideal. They sent an email that day itself about check-in instructions but we didn't know about it and there was no one around to help or answer questions. It was a guest who told us if we got any messages that we checked or email. Then we had issues with correcting to Wi-Fi as data reception was not great.
Breakfast selection was not great. Would be great if they offered more fruit and salad.
Rooms were very spacious and well equipped/decorated. A continental breakfast was served 8-10am which was lovely and the staff were very helpful too. The hot tub was a cherry on top.
The hotel was a nice property with very comfortable rooms, but all of that was overshadowed a lack of basic management. The Expedia information states that you will be given a check-in code to unlock your key box and that a Help phone is present on your property. The hotel never gave me the check-in code and there was not a Help phone. I made three attempts to call the number listed, but no one ever answered because there in fact was no help phone. The only way I was able to get into my room was I found the only cleaning person present who then called the manager who was not on the property. After about 30 to 45 minutes, a person showed up with my key. This person was still not the manager who was never to be seen.
The property states you have a free breakfast, but it was the most minimal of offerings. The breakfast table was placed in such a way that you had to squeeze by to go from the sitting room to the room where the coffee and beverages were located.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was beautiful. This property could be the best of properties if there is only a manager who cared at all to attend to the guests. Of note is the fact that I was not the only one who had these problems. I was able to determine that people who booked through other services had in fact received their key codes. The problem may be that the manager had provided Expedia with a corrupted file and incomplete information.
The advertising was misleading as we spent extra so we could have a hot tub, it was cold and dirty. There is no one on site so I emailed to see if they could fix it but no one replied. The rooms were fine and clean and the location was remote and pretty. Breakfast was ok, but only a couple hot items that were almost cold.
Excellent property, wonderful staff and such a fun stay. I’d recommend this place to anyone traveling to that part of Iceland. My entire family was just so happy to stay there.

Disliked: Staff & service
No staff on-site! If you have a problem or issue with anything, you have no recourse.
We had two water leaks coming from the ceiling!
Don't bother trying to call any of the "contact phone numbers" provided, no one will answer. Don't bother emailing either, no will get back to you. This place was an absolute nightmare!
Room was nice and clean. Surrounding countryside was amazing. All automated hotel- didn't see staff until morning during breakfast. Received code for entry in email in advance. I liked the location- north of Vik and close to Skogafoss (sp?)
Beautiful location. Nice and clean property. Good breakfast.

Unparalleled location between Skogafoss and Seljalandfoss waterfalls, surrounded by lush hills dotted with sheep and distant views of the Atlantic. The common space is comfortable and spacious, rooms are well-appointed. Complimentary breakfast offers diverse fare.
Hotel Lambafell is brand new and a gorgeous property. The bedroom was large with a king bed. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water. The breakfast was delicious, with much variety of food. There is a hot tub in the back.
