"Lovely big clean room . Very noisy in the am though with people slamming doors ( there was a coach party staying) ."

"Fine for a one night stay."

"Comfortable room, great location, easy parking. It was a little difficult to find but luckily a staff member was available."

"Rooms a little bit dated, cosy bar area, good breakfast, friendly staff, free parking, good location, over all we enjoyed our stay"

"I loved the location and staff. The rooms were small but well stocked and comfortable. The second room we rented only had a sink -the toilet and shower facilities were in the hallway but it didn’t seem to be much of an issue unless you awake several times a night. A hidden surprise that we found out about by mistake…there is a walking path just outside the hotel entrance “behind the restaurant” (take a left) that leads to a beautiful trail and meanders to the road near the bay."

"Pleasantly surprised staff were friendly and helpful the restaurant was good with bar games to entertain the kids we stayed for one night whilst visiting family the rooms were clean and comfortable and we all had a great nights sleep thank you"

"Excellent stay our room so spacious everything you could want and more. Staff friendly and engaging overall great value for money ideally located for Cheddar Gorge first class walk Axbridge stepped in history all in all a great stay"

"Great place to find excellent food and good company,, parking was easy and secure, hope to go back again soon… thank you 🙏"

"Very clean room, great location and the staff was very nice and helpful."

"All was as expected ."

"It was in the centre of town and parking was very close to the lodge."

"I wasn't provided with check in instructions, so when I arrived I felt a bit lost. I asked inside Greggs and Subway, they informed me that I had to go to the petrol station to collect my room key, it was smooth from there. Room was clean and tidy. Bathroom needed a little TLC, cracks on the bath, ceiling, marks on the floor. Had free WiFi, TV, and tea / coffee facilities. Bed was comfy and clean. Good value for money. Would stay again as very convenient for short trip"

"Rustic setting but not remote, excellent food, lovely staff,"

"Perfect stay. Absolutely gorgeous building and grounds. Perfect for business."

"Clean. Great location. Great communication when extending my stay."

"For the price can't complain as you also get free parking. The room was clean and tidy with clear instructions as to how to access the room key. The restaurant is dog friendly also and food delicious. Just bear in mind it can be noisy in the room until the restaurant closes but not a massive issue."

"Lovely staff."

"Excellent breakfast and value for money."

"Is a very nice place to stay would be nice if they served food in the pub attached but other than that no complaints "

"Cosy traditional b&b room above the pub itself, surprisingly quiet (never heard a sound) even though the pub below is a very popular place and full every night. Nice breakfast, good evening meal, can’t fault the place. Patrick and the locals were very friendly, we happily chatted amongst them all evening on both nights we stayed. All in all a very good time, would we stay again? Absolutely no problem at all."
