"Had a nice stay at Hotel Sarabi. Did not know that there was not an ATM in Barra, or that the hotel did not accept credit cards (should've read the fine print closer!). But the Hotel Staff were very accommodating and willing to give us some time to get the cash to pay for the room. Was able to communicate alright with my basic Spanish, but the folks at the hotel did not seem to know much English (so a heads up if you do not speak Spanish, be ready to use a translator app or something). "It’s an older hotel but the room was very clean and well equipped in kitchen. Pool was too hot for swimming but the beach is right behind. Staff were excellent and accommodating. There is a restaurant right behind the building on the ocean, good food and you get a discount as a guest. Lots of restaurants, shops and bus within walking distance. We would stay again. "

"The young woman managing the property is super friendly and efficient. Our apartment was clean, kitchen well stocked for simple meals, everything comfortable except the pillows. The rooftop terrace is a nice place to relax and enjoy some shade and breeze. Restaurants, beach, music within walking distance. Super safe and quiet area."

"Run by a lovely, very helpful couple. They couldn't be any nicer. Basic but super clean room. Access to clotheslines for drying. Very central with a restaurant on the property. Just a 2 min walk to the beach. Unfortunately quite a noisy area."

"The room wasn’t what showed website, place claim to have WiFi but not so, bed was made once in a while, a small bar of soap was provided for 7 days, tv was not working, room smelled like sewer."
