"brief overnight stay en route home to Orkney. Arrived late but night porter was very friendly and helpful and had us checked-in quickly. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and we were on our way in plenty of time for the ferry."

"The room didn’t live up to our expectation of exceptional. The room lacked character. Walls were bare and only the bare essentials were provided. There were two single beds with a doona that just covered the width of the bed. The curtains barely coveredthe window which allowed twilight in. Just one half bottle of shampoo/body wash and there was no hand wash or soap. Tv aerial had been disconnected. One towel freyed. The two single beds reduced available floor space for luggage. Staff however ...

"The gentleman that checked us in was great. He was very helpful with questions we had about the area, made sure we had our ferry tickets and assisted with the dinner service. The young gentlemen who assisted at dinner were very polite and knowledgeable about the menu. One thing that we would have liked was wash clothes. We would recommend staying here."

"Einsam gelegen, daher super, dass es im Haus eine Gaststube mit gutem Essen gibt und gleich einen Pub dazu. Sauber, sehr freundliche Gastgeber, urig. Zimmer war groß und bequem. Sehr ruhige Lage! Tolles schottisches Frühstück. Absolut zu empfehlen für einen Trip."
