Be aware, if travelling with older people you may want to book an executive room which are located on the ground floor, it being an old building other floors can be difficult! Breakfast was also lovely, even catering for my Vegan tastes! Thank you all again!"

"Our stay here was brief but I was happy to see that they were willing to serve dinner not long before closing. (There aren’t a lot of dining choices nearby.) It is an older property but everything functioned and was clean. Boot tray in the closet for wet boots was a good feature, although we lucked out with the weather. We also appreciated the bottled water. We enjoyed the cook-to-order breakfast and overall friendliness of the property. The view of the bridge and stream was outstanding. "

"Lovely stay at The Chase hotel. Staff were welcoming and friendly, rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and location to Whitehaven and the rest of the lakes was good! "

"Only downside was an extractor unit which ran round the clock. A bit like sleeping on a ship or aircraft, you quickly got used to it. I’ve booked another stay, so it hasn’t put me off."

"This hotel has a very special atmosphere which somehow makes you instantly relax. The hotel team are extremely helpful and the food is some of the best we have ever tasted. The bedrooms are small but that is the only slight downside. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the mattresses are very comfortable. Breakfast is 10/10. Parking is easy. The location is perfect. We can't wait to return. "

"I stayed in found floor room. Looked tired and is need of decorating. Shower was adequate-plenty of hot water but not very powerful. Windows needed cleaning. Room on whole was clean although stain on duvet cover. Bed comfy. Not staff at hotel so you had to phone through to another hotel for assistance. No food available and a list of take away places for breakfast. "
