"Nice hotel, pretty standard layout, a little old now and tied in places by the look of it room is clean decor from the 1980s at Best functional, Service was pretty friendly on checking. Didn’t read anywhere about the parking issue they have outsourced it, so you have to pay extra for that And be careful if you don’t because it’s got APR cameras, not quite what you expect in the Lake District"

"The property was easy to find. Parking was easy. Got a friendly welcome. Breakfast was ready before time which was really helpful as we had to leave quickly. The room was a bit difficult to get in to as there was a bedside stand as soon as you open the door so had to negotiate around it everytime I entered & exited the room."

"The room was lovely, a good size and clean which is all we could ask for. Complementary biscuits with the tea/coffee facility which was a nice added treat. The staff were all very friendly and efficient and the checking in/out process was a breeze. The hotel has a restaurant attached which is very handy after a long day driving and if you don’t want to venture into the town (5 minute drive away). "Stopped at the Keswick Park hotel while walking the Cumbria Way. The staff were great and helped out one of our party who had injured her ankle while walking during the day and were on hand to provide refreshments once we arrived. Sadly the restaurant was not serving during our stay, however recommendations were given for nearby options which proved to be excellent."

"I liked the location best. It is easy to access and centrally located in town; very walkable. The staff is very attentive and willing to help. Breakfast and other food options are excellent. Parking is not on-site and closest is a paid lot one hundred meters from the inn. Our room was directly above the street and entrance to the inn, so it was a bit noisy. Overall, I recommend Temperance Inn."

"The hotel is in a very central location in the middle of Ambleside however there is no on site parking available. My room was clean and comfortable. I found it difficult to sleep though as the room was really warm and there was a lot of traffic noise early in the morning. Breakfast was very tasty with a good choice and the staff were friendly."
