"Checkin was easy, however it was raining and we had to drag our luggage up outdoor stairs. There was a small shopping area on the property with some very cute stores. I purchased some unique handmade jewelery there. We didn't have time to check out the dining room."

Fishing Boats docked outside of Waterloo along the west coast of Trinidad. In addition to the great scenery (Port of Spain and the NW coast of Trinidad are visible in the distance) this is an excellent place to look for birds including several over-wintering shorebird species like Whimbrel and Black-necked Stilts.

"We stayed at the Regent Star overnight for a layover and we had a very pleasant experience. The shuttle to the from the airport was very convenient, the breakfast was good, and they allowed us a late checkout which was wonderful. The bed was a little firmer than we like, but we had a good night of rest. We’d definitely stay here again!"
