"Pros and Cons... We had high hopes for The Lodge. It presents itself very well online but doesn't quite live up to its advertising. One of the issues we had with the property is the lack of accurate signage. Due to flight delays, we arrived late in the evening, and it was hard to find the "lobby." It doesn't face the street and no lighted sign indicates where it is. Rather, it's at the back of the property and isn't a traditional lobby. You actually check in at the cafe/bar. "We loved our stay in this hotel. Everything from the room ( all the rooms are suite style) to the property was excellent. Good options for breakfast (included) and shuttle downtown was very convenient. Staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. We would be definitely coming back "

"The Highland Dell was a very well-kept and pristine property in a beautiful setting in the redwoods along the Russian River. The dining area and menu were excellent. The management and staff were all friendly and accommodating. I will recommend the Highland Dell to all my family and friends."

"This is a great glamping site. My husband and I really enjoyed our time here. We stayed in on of the tents and we had a great time riding the bikes around, sitting by the campfires, playing boardgames, going out to eat in downdown and visiting the local galleries and the nearby redwoods. The campsite is close enough to town, but far enough to offer a more serene environment. I will definitely be coming back "

"Room was fantastic; bed extremely comfortable, hot tub very relaxing. Water in the hot tub needs to be changed more frequently and the room needed a more thorough cleaning, lots of spider webs and the fan threw dust everywhere when we turned it on. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we would consider coming back in the future. "

"Beautiful property! You have access to the trails right next to the ocean and it was the prettiest walk I’ve ever been on. The rooms are well designed with convenience in mind - remote control lighting, outlets, B&O portable speaker, etc etc. The staff are also super friendly and helpful. "This is a very old property that's been nicely updated. It's a great location walkable to all of downtown Guernville. The rooms are large and beds are comfy. On the downside, you definitely hear your neighbors walking around, talking, toilets flushing and showers running. It wasn't bad enough for me not to stay there again. It's just an old building. It's also VERY pricey for what you get! "
