"Great location but maybe moreso a place to stop for a night."

"This is a very good hotel , and the best value for money on the island. It is quite clearly an old hotel but very well looked after. The one down point for me would be the attention to detail with the cleaning of the rooms. The shower tray had hairs in it, the teaspoons and mugs were not clean. The carpet had quite a few "suspect" stains. Would definitely stay here again, but covered everything we needed to do on the island so probably wont be back for that reason. The breakfast was great."

"We really enjoyed our stay with our pup here. The hotel looks out across the beautiful Loch Long, has plenty of parking and there were some lovely walks in easy distance from the property too. The staff at reception and the bar were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was a decent size with a great view. It wasn't perfectly clean but it was comfortable. We'd definitely come back again."

"It was an interesting place to stay. It’s a listed property that is being renovated as allowed. We had a good sized bedroom but with noisy floors in the bathroom as well not too keen on electric showers but eventually got water at the right temp. "The friendliness of the staff is top-notch and everywhere is so clean. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because there was a lack of vegan awareness. Although my meal on the first night was tasty it didn't include any protein. There were no vegan wines available but they kindly let me bring some vegan wine I had in the car in to have with my meal. They certainly made up for this by providing avocado, oat milk and a vegan yoghurt for breakfast - this effort was really appreciated. Thank...
