"Although the hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay, work didn’t start until 08;00 when we up and about so didn’t affect us or the communal areas. The pool looks lovely (we didn’t use it as it was a very short stop over) and we saw the attendant cleaning it. The entertainment was excellent, bar service, prices and excellent menu to suit all tastes and good portion sizes. Lots of options for breakfast with the best bacon barm I’ve ever had and super table service too. Then the bakery...

"No idea how this has a 3 star rating - run down dirty hotel tried to give us a room that had not been cleaned so changed it. We booked for 5 of us - 2 rooms but room was twin and double had to pay extra for extra bed. Would never recommend you stay with children more like hotel/ rent room by the hour if you know what I mean we were only there 1 night as visiting friends in area but got everyone up extra early next morning to get out. "Staff were brilliant and helpful, rooms were basic but clean, unfortunately the restaurant and bar were closed as it was out of season but it would have been nice to know that beforehand. Perfect location for La Mata only a very short distance to the town with lots of choice for bars and food. Request a sea view early if you want one. "
