Hotel Cano
10/10 Excellent
"The Cano was a marvellous hotel providing everything a weary traveller could need, if not want. I had requested a room with a balcony, and that is what we got. The room itself was quite small, but it was very functional and the beds were very comfortable, and with the excellent air conditioning a good night's sleep was assured. Bathroom included shower and bath and even provided enough basic toiletries and toilet rolls for a couple of days. While we didn't avail of the breakfast (too early for us!), the area was bang in the middle of various top notch eating houses and a very large supermarket about 100 metres up the road. The towns main bus station was also a two minute walk up the road. In closing, this was a great hotel that I would have no trouble in recommending to anyone, and I'm already looking forward to a return visit in the near future."

"I've stayed at this hotel before and it suits me perfectly. Towards the end of September is the time I go to a function at a nearby hotel but prefer to board at Masa because it has a peaceful atmosphere. At the height of day there were two in the pool. Hope to visit this hotel again soon"

"Pros: It has a large airy lounge / kitchen and well equipped. You definitely need transport. There is little to do locally during the day apart from lying on the beach and eating. No shortage of restaurants. Transport is on the doorstep. A car is a must if you want full value. It has a great view overlooking the sea. Cons: There is an unpleasant smell each morning from the drainage / sewers backdraft that enters the bathrooms. Unavoidable. There is no outlet for the Air conditioning drainage so you have to empty a large bucket of water twice a day from the terrace or else it overflows onto the terrace. Unfortunately we could not get Wifi even though we found the password and the internet provider was not listed."

"Thank you for our lovely 10 days spent in July and August. As a start the host Hans is super communicative, helpful and always on hand before, during and after. The property was clean and beautifully decorated in a relaxed modern vibe. Inside and out the outdoor chairs were amazingly comfortable (I fell asleep a few times) we never even needed the loungers! I always feel this is a great indicator of a place when they invest in quality outdoor furniture. Considering the temperature, there was plenty of shade but the pool got the sun all day long. Talking about the pool….WOW!! We never expected a saltwater pool with on/off jets where you can sit close to the eating and drinking area. It made for such a social experience. It’s a beautiful pool but it’s also very practical, it all lights up at night to become a spectacle. We were even pleased with the little touches, like having a shopping trolly/cart. This made our lives so much easier. There is so much we didn’t use like the uv tent or bbq… thank you guys we would return and recommend. There is much more to say. Thank you "
