"I have had a long association with the White Heron, Shaw Savill for business reasons in the 80's, not as a guest. I chose them this time because of the locality to my itinerary this time. Somewhat jaded since my last contact but i still enjoyed my stay. Staff were professional/ courteous in the main but the breakfast crew who seemed to resent my intrusion. Hotel ok and can't be held for bad staff attitudes. (Again it was only breakfast staff)"

"Lovely room. One of the beds was a bit hard but thats just personal preference. The man on reception allowed us to check in early at no extra cost which was fantastic. The pool is fun, quite small but unique with the part that goes out above the road. Would stay here again."

"Apartment small but entirely functional for our needs as were out and about most of the 6 days we stayed there. It got easier once we found out how to avoid climbing up the steep Plimmer Steps ( by judicious use of nearby elevators and lift). Some small improvements would include glassware, crockery and cutlery settings for 4 people ( even though only a 2 person unit). "Great hotel. Very spacious beautiful open planned kitchen dining and lounge room and plenty space and storage for 3 bedrooms. Easy contactless check in/out. Quiet, clean, big windows and warm. Two carparks are there but also a public carpark option is cross the road with early bird discount for $13.50 full day parking 6am-7pm. Easy walking distance to anywhere in city. Bring washing powder to use washing machine. Highly recommend. "

"Sebel Thorndon great location to catch the ferry to Picton in the morning. No need for a restaurant due to just needing a bed to stay and parking for our car. Disappointed we could have parked for free on the road and paid $30 for hotel parking (check time restrictions). Bed, king size pillows, so comfortable, great shower and products. Bonus was the coffee machine. Hotel is well appointed, we highly recommend. "
