"Wall paper on floor, bannisters left over a week on the floor to trip over and studs to fix bannisters dangerously sticking out of wall. Room numbers were written on paper, stuck to wall with sticky tape, easily moved around by mischievous tenants. Carpets up in places, very dirty carpets in some areas. Very noisy, little insulation for sound. No restaurant 4 nights each week, daily breakfast very poor. Some staff helpful, some found it hard to smile or be pleasant. No fan in bathroom so room...
"Property was in an ideal location. Walking distance to all the key spots. Very clean and very supportive desk personnel. We had 1st floor room which was great. I saw others struggling with luggage up stairs. I did like the fact they had huge lockers for early arrivals in case room was quite available. My only complaint was the bathroom sink. Very small but after 2 days it was acceptable"
"The room was fine and the staff were fantastic. It just felt way overpriced for what it was. I paid over $1000 for 3 nights in a small room at a hotel with very few amenities. There weren’t many options and I booked last minute. It would be worth $150-$200 per night but for $300+ per night it should have been a better/larger/more updated room."
"We booked this last minute at a premium price to be able to stay in downtown Newport. It was not worth it. It was run down and needs a complete remodel. Our bathroom tub had a crack in the center, there were stink bugs crawling on the iron, and the entire room was in need of a very deep clean. The breakfast was good, but you had to put in your order the night before, and had to reserve an exact time to eat. Parking was terrible, too. We paid way too much money for what we got. Do yourself...
"Nice central location near Main Street restaurants, beaches and the shuttle to the MV ferry out of Woods Hole. Friendly and helpful staff. Plentiful free parking. It could use some capital improvements (rotting wood trim, missing roof shingles). Good value overall."
