"Sockerslottet is such a gem! Found this a bit by accident when I needed a place to stay during a work trip. I'm so happy that I did! I had a very nice welcoming, the room was both spacious, well-decorated and perfectly clean. I especially loved the "little extra", freshly baked cookies and coffee machine in the lobby. "It’s fine for a stay in Karlstad, easy walking distance to both the main area but also nice walks along the river etc. Very basic hotel, not totally clean but ok. Breakfast was alright but nothing special. Not bad value for money for a city stay. "
