"We had to pick up some equipment at the Marina in Golfito so we decided to try Amaka. We were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations..with the highlight being the spectacular view of the marina surrounded be emerald green rainforest covered mountains. We come to Golfito often but don’t normally spend the night..but we’re really happy we gave Amaka a try. THE STAFF is excellent, they upgraded our room to get us checked in earlier..clean, spacious, and very cool “marine life” large canvas...

The meals were healthy, delicious, and varied - prepared by cheerful and skilled cooks in the onsite kitchen, and served in a comfortable and nicely decorated dining hall overlooking the grounds and forest. I highly recommend booking a tour of the grounds to learn more about the history of the garden and the habitat conservation efforts underway in the area.
