We decided to go into nearby Thornbury to grab something to eat. " had a good two night stay at Tŷ Newport. The hotel was as you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The room was a good size, it had a kettle and the courtesy tray. The bathroom was a spacious with shower only. The noise insulation was very good. The motorway was running very close to the hotel and yet there was no noise. All the people at the reception were very friendly and professional. Also the barman was nice and polite. The only two little suggestions for improvement are: It would be useful to have a mini fridge in the room as well as some hand and body lotion in the bathroom. I liked the green initiative they had: If you did not need to have your towels changed every day, you got a voucher for a free drink at the bar. If I were go back to Newport, I would happily stay at Tŷ Newport again."
