"We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was very welcoming and breakfast was wonderful!! The rooms are immaculate, and the location of the property made it very convenient to drive outside of the city or get public transportation into the city. "Tremendously good value … a short drive from the airport in a sleepy village. The riverside gardens are really delightful. Super quiet - except for the church bells, which go every 15 mins. But they may turn them off at night - either that, or I slept through them, "

"L'expérience au Slovenian Eco Resort a été excellente pour nous, nous y sommes allés pour une nuit et nous avons pu bénéficier d'un accueil de très grande qualité. Une heure de sauna était incluse dans le prix de la chambre ainsi que l'accès à une piscine hors-sol très sympathique. Nous avons également très bien mangé que ce soit le burger maison ou les différentes assiettes de BBQ, le choix était chaque fois excellemment bon. Le plus gros point positif est la présence de différents animaux...

"The location is very quiet, on the outskirts of Medvode. Beautiful landscape from your window. Mateja and Borut were very kind to me and did everything to make me comfortable. They installed a minibar and kettle in the room. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend it"

Slovenia is full of remarkable places to visit. A few hours northeast of Ljubljana, the capital, lies a region of alpine valleys that will take your breath away. I took this photo shortly after sunrise on the ridge between two of those valleys.

Having your own set of wheels certainly makes getting around this area a lot easier. For accommodation I'd recommend Luce, a small town a stone's throw away from the action, where there are a few options.

The trails can be hard to locate and very slippery when covered with snow so tread carefully or, preferably, wait until it disappears.

"Our stay was grate properly is nice and clean. Staff were so nice and professional.Owner is always around meeting with all guest and making sure everything is ok. We were filing that we are welcome and wilt friends. Breakfast is delicious and restaurant for dinner is grate. We made friends with owner and waiter from the restaurant. Good location if you want to visit all main attractions in Slovenia. We definitely will be coming back. "
