"Great location. Our room despite being small had a great balcony with a phenomenal view. The grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was amazing. More variety than other 20 hotels we stayed at during this trip. The staff was very helpful. Only two negatives. The floors in our room were super squeaky. Every trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night would wake my wife up. Also, no elevator. You need to use the stairs for everything. The only hotel so far without an elevator. "

My particular room would not be many people’s choice of decor but it was such a talking point and did not deter from the comfort. This hotel could never be called boring and the restaurant was incredible with absolutely fabulous food. The staff were fantastic and so accommodating and warm. "Loved the stay. Apartment was very new and looked exactly like the photographs, with an amazing view of the mountains from the balcony. Owner was very kind as well in letting us check out late with no fuss. Apartment was a short 7min drive to Bad Gastein center. 10/10 would recommend. "

"We chose this hotel for the second time. Half-board was good. We enjoyed the swimming pool. Room was ok, the equipment a bit older, but the view was amazing. Parking in a parking house next to the hotel - higher cars as ours have to use the upper entrance which is about 5 minutes drive (no signs, receptionist told us where to go). "

"We’ve just returned from a fantastic 3 nights in Rauris. The Birkenhof was the perfect little hotel to rest our heads. The staff were lovey and couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was delicious and we also enjoyed an hour in the steam room and sauna to ease our aching muscles. Highly recommend and keen to book their suite next time if we bring our three children "

There is golf course, swimming pool, tennis court etc. I am sure it will be great during summer. Weißensee is only 15km away and there is a lot to do. We will come back for sure. "

"Hot rooms with no way to cool. Opening window let in lots of street noise. Drapes were thin and translucent, did not darken the room. Shower mount was broken. "
