"Beautiful location in the middle of the rainforest. To wake every morning to the sounds of the rainforest was divine…. The hammock got very well used! The property is close to Douglas Charles airport, which is great, but it is extremely isolated if you don’t have your own car. It wasn’t easy to persuade tours to pick up here as most operated from Roseau on the other side of the island. "This property is a tranquil retreat in the middle of a forest and adjacent next to a beautiful river that we all loved swimming in! The owners had many great suggestions of things to see and fo nearby, great places to eat, and places to go for this being our second trip to Portsmouth so we had too much to do and lived it all! Our only regret was that we didn’t have more nights here!"

"Overall we loved it, though it would have been good to know that you can't drive to the hotel if you don't have a proper 4WD as it is located at the end of a long and steep tarished road. Luckily the hotel offers an transport service for the dirty road between 8am and 5pm. They also offer food(preorder only) and drinks at the bar. The staff was very nice and always helpful. Our favourite was the weekday driver. The cottage had a very nice kitchen unfortunately not much utensils in it... Being so...

"The rooms were really big, clean and comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful. Minor inconveniences were addressed timely. The kitchenette was a nice touch to the room. Inclusion of a lift and planned exterior upgrades will better position this facility. A great experience altogether. "

"This is a fantastic place to stay if you want to see the real Dominica. Lovely, rustic rooms where you can really connect with nature as you feel like you are in the treetops. The staff were really friendly and I'd highly recommended having the family style dinner they provide as it's delicious and you get to speak with others staying there. Worth hiring a car as this is out of the way but plently of space to park on the road. "
