Decent accommodations, with the givens of walking up and down numerous stairs, dark hallways, etc. Personnel there ranges from: exceptionally sweet young woman - who carried our heavy suitcases up two steep stairs (no elevator) - to a very unfriendly male. "I stay IBIS because I know what to expect. This was no exception. The only reason I gave 3 stars for staff and service is because I was left waiting at the unattended front desk for check-in. That said I later noticed the front desk person doubling as dining room hostess and order taker! I felt sorry for her and think IBIS should spring for additional staff coverage."

"what a find clean and tidy inside a bit dated but nothing to worry about. Outside could definitely do with a cobweb sweep and the light fixed and the chairs in good condition one was broken when we git there. The site could do alot more perhaps a bit if entertainment etc and maybe a møre better takeaway although this didn’t stop is having a good holiday."

"Amazing value for money and location. Really well equipped apartments, spacious balcony and comfy beds. Kitchen didn't have any spare space for storing shopping to make the most of the self catering aspect, but we worked around it. Our apartment overlooked the car park but in fact, it was really quiet, not overlooked by other guests and our balcony had a grear view of the fortress."

"A great place to stopover on the way back or to the south of France. The town of Chinon is 5 mins away and worth exploring. Host was excellent and very helpful. We got a vegetarian meal ( feel the menu should have this) which was put together for us and was excellent. Lovely room with a pleasant view. Only negative point was a school group who were above us were quite noisy but still got a good nights sleep."
