"The rooms are a fair size for a French hotel. No frills, clean and comfortable. Sole issue for my particular experience, shower/sink water barely over tepid. I mentioned to the staff who adressed it, and water was instantly warmer, although still not "hot". Shower with tepid water in November isnt the most agreable. "A stale kitchen smell hung around the reception and permeated the building. No lights were on and it was like entering a dark cave. I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The sauna was an extra 55 Euros so we didnt use it and didn't eat there as the stale smell was so unappetising. We would not have stayed except that we had booked and paid in advance."
