"The hotel is In an ideal location and the staff were most welcoming. We chose to dine in as the meals were excellent and reasonably priced and the service good. Our room was good and the rate fair. It could however benefited from a small kettle to make a hot drink."

"The site was a little hard to find after a long day's drive to get there but well situated for food and wine, range of restaurants, shops, etc nearby. Helpful staff who spoke enough English that my rusty French wasn't necessary most of the time. Would definitely stay again. "

"The desk staff at this hotel was incredibly unfriendly. We booked two nights total, coming and going. On the second arrival the desk clerk was rude, confrontational and we learned later a liar. The location on the river isn’t worth the toxic environment created by the desk staff. There are better friendly alternatives."

"Compact and well appointed , we liked the sliding shutters that kept out the sun, and tge masses of storage. It would be a great place to spend several days exploring the area. Julien and Angelique are good hosts who made us feel very welcome, and it was lovely to be able to have an excellent dinner there too after a long drive. We felt the only thing that let it down was the minimalist breakfast- not very good value. We would certainly return, but maybe not for breakfast."

"Wonderful small hotel in the heart of rural France. Room was very comfortable, staff very attentive and a great continental breakfast. Plenty of space to park on the street street outside hotel. Great place for my two night stopover. "

Demande d'un emplacement sécurisant car enfants en bas âges ignorée > on se retrouve près du parking et d'une route où les voitures roulent vite, pas de clôture ni portail. "Le camping le Repaire se trouvant à Nantheuil (24800) mérite amplement ses 3 étoiles. Malgré un mobile-home un peu exigu nous avons vraiment été très bien accueilli. La gérante et le personnel ont été à tout moment à notre écoute, tout ça dans la bonne humeur. Je conseil ce camping qui se trouve en plus dans un cadre bucolique. Piscine chauffée à disposition. Nous avons hâte d'y retourner. Bravo à tous! "

"We loved this hotel. Amazing setting on the river with picturesque views in two directions from our corner room. Utterly charming in every way. The self serve Italian coffee machine in the salon is fantastic. Walk to everything in the delightful village with many riverside park areas. We took short drive to Brantome for an excellent dinner. Can’t edit to go back!"
