"I love this hotel and have stayed many times. However, something has happened in the past year. The facility looks like it has had water damage and smells of smoke throughout. My clothes and luggage all smelled like smoke upon departure. The bathroom cabinets stay wide open, and the room door drags on the floor and required a ton of force to open every time. "I read the hotel per the instructions for the hotel to let them know my arrival date upon my checkout I was asked to pay when I had already prepaid and I was asked for my documents that I had printed from the site and was asked if they could keep them because they didn't have anything saying that I had paid. That wasn't okay."

"La habitación era aceptable en relación a la calidad y precio. Dice estar al lado de la estación de nane nane stand pero no es así, hay que caminar unos km o tomar una mototaxi. Al tener que madrugar a las 6h no me servían el desayuno tan temprano, en su lugar se me ofreció un café a media tarde del dia de llegada en mi habitación....café que nunca llegó. Es un buen lugar de paso....no de estancia."

"Quite precarious. The bathrooms are very bad. We did not sleep in the cabins because of the deplorable bathroom (dark and unhygienic) and took two rooms in the house. The rooms were acceptable, but later in the evening we got aware that there the bathrooms doe not have sinks for the showers. We discovered the sinks in a corner behind the toilet at the other end, which means you have to flood the whole bathroom including the toilet in order to get the dirt out, but you will finish your shower...

"Owner is awful. Asked me to cancel my reservation and pay him cash. He said site wouldn't pay him. It was very unprofessional. The staff exceeded our expectations... The owner was a disappointment. Asked our safari driver several times about payment from us when I could prove I had prepaid for everything dinner too. Beautiful place."

"Very nice. Had basic room first night and it was wonderful. They upgraded us for free the second night as they had a room available and it was way beyond any expectations we could have had. Such nice people. Very nice place. I wouldn’t call it a camp when it felt more like a resort. Really good food as well."

"This hotel does not recognize reservations made online. This is an old listing. The place is actually called Mikumi wilderness camp not Mikumi wildlife camp. It looks better in pictures. We paid on Expedia travelled very far to realize the hotel didn't recognize the reservation so we had to pay again privately which was 10 times more cheaper than what we paid online. Do not book this place"

Merry och Lasaro är trevlig personal. När vi skulle åka på morgonen hade jag bestämt frukost kl 06:00 bussen gick 06;30. Först kom kaffet 06:10 sen kom en liten banan kl 6:15, därefter kommer det en omelett 06:20,utan bestick. Wi-fi fungerar inte till din förnöjsamhet. Strömmen är på en viss tid under dagen! "If you're coming from a first world country, keep in mind that the resources in Morogoro are limited, and these hotels have to do the best they can with them. The power will cut out. They may lose hot water. The internet might drop. However, the people at this hotel and the general manager really care about giving guests a great experience and do a great job. The staff is enthusiastic and helpful. The rooms, sheets, towels, are all clean. The food is very good, and they have a good variety of African and international food. The views of Mt Morogoro are fantastic. While I haven't been to all the business hotels in Morogoro, I've seen most, and it's an open secret that this is by far the best. There is not too much in the area for tourists, but the people in the area are nice and helpful. A few times I was trying to communicate with a vender and a passerby would stop and help translate. "
