"We stayed for 1 night only and left very early in the morning. Our stay was very short, but for the purpose of our trip it was a great choice. The room was quite modern, equipped with all the necessary equipment and clean. Not sure how this would be for longer stays (we didn’t get to experience it in that way) but for a short stay we definitely recommend it. "

"The manager was extremely helpful. I enjoyed the hotel's excellent position at the literal outskirts of the tower, and I liked my spacious room. My only caveat is that is that they don't provide a shuttle service to the airport. I think that they'd listed as providing that service. "

Also steps from the bus stop for the 1+ autobus for the city centre and La Stazione Centrale. This is a no frills hotel but it represents great value for money. "Stayed here many years ago and wanted to revisit. Staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Hotel room was comfortable and clean. Shower cubicle was tiny! "We had a questionable room. The antique bed springs sagged like 75 yrs old. The shower door was half missing. Bathroom is old style. Screen on bathroom window torn badly. Poor lighting options. TV 12 in. No garbage bin...etc. However the hotel structure, bones, history, antiques are a good as any museum. Location I like right on river. We had view of tower. Many many rooms looked quite desireable as we cruised the historical hotel. But ours was not very good. Price is ok though. Survivable...

"Great hotel in a great location. It's a traditional Italian villa in the Tuscan hills with a stunning view of San Gimignano and the countryside. All staff were friendly and helpful and our room was large and eminently comfortable. The grounds are generous and well maintained (incl. pool area) meaning there was always plenty of space to sit undisturbed and away from others. Overall, a wonderful place to go for a peaceful and relaxing adult break. "

"The hotel was very conveniently located by the train station and the amenities were good. There is no lift which could be a bit of a struggle for some guests. The bedroom was fine with everything we needed, but the shower was not clean. It had a clogged drain and the tiles were very stained around the lower half. The shower pressure dropped very low if you wanted hot water. The walls are also a little thin but luckily our neighbours stopped watching TV at a reasonable time."
